🔬 GCSE Triple Science Mastery with Lucy

🧠 Biology – Mondays at 6:30pm

These small group sessions are designed specifically for Year 11 students preparing for Triple Science GCSEs. Each subject is taught in a focused weekly session to build deep understanding of the most challenging content, with a strong emphasis on exam technique and mastery of key skills.

Led by qualified Science teacher Lucy, these lessons help students:

  • Break down complex concepts (e.g. electrolysis, dynamic equilibrium, circuit calculations)
  • Strengthen multi-step problem solving and extended written answers
  • Use precise scientific terminology and structure responses for full marks
  • Build confidence applying knowledge under exam conditions

➗ GCSE Foundation Maths with Anna

📅 Thursdays at 6:30pm
🎯 Aimed at students working towards a Grade 4 or 5 in Maths

Designed to support students who are sitting the foundation paper and are aiming to secure a solid pass at GCSE maths. It’s ideal for learners who need to build confidence with core skills, catch up on missed content, and improve their exam technique in a calm, supportive setting.

Led by Anna, an experienced maths teacher and founder of Tutorfox, the group focuses on:

  • Consolidating core topics across Number, Algebra, Ratio and Geometry - all areas essential for a Grade 4 or 5
  • Breaking down common problem areas like fractions, percentages, formulae and graph work
  • Developing clear written methods and step-by-step problem-solving strategies
  • Improving exam technique - including timing, layout, mark allocation and how to approach worded problems
  • Practising with past paper-style questions in a supportive, small-group setting

✏️ Year 6 SATs Maths Mastery with Jenny

📅 Mondays & Tuesdays at 5:30pm
🎯 Designed for Year 6 pupils preparing for their KS2 SATs

These engaging small-group sessions are ideal for Year 6 pupils who want to feel confident and well-prepared for their SATs. With a focus on both fluency and reasoning, Jenny’s lessons provide expert guidance, structured revision, and a fun, encouraging learning environment.

Each week, we'll cover key SATs content through clear explanations, practice, games and problem solving, with plenty of individual support along the way.

Focus areas include:

  • Number & place value – including rounding, comparing large numbers and negative number work
  • Fractions, decimals & percentages – understanding, converting and calculating
  • Written & mental calculation strategies – across all four operations, with a big emphasis on times tables and estimation
  • Measurement & time – converting units, perimeter, area, volume and telling the time accurately
  • Geometry & statistics – shape properties, angles, reflections, and interpreting graphs and tables
  • Problem solving & reasoning – developing confidence with real-life maths and multi-step questions

Lessons are interactive and engaging, using games and puzzles to help embed key skills and make learning enjoyable.
